I went through the similar steps of setting up my phone like I did with my Pixel a month ago but this time on iPhone. The whole experience just became even MORE clear and apparent to me last night because I got a new work phone (iPhone). Once I had to involve clipboard none of the other apps, even apps I know that should work fine with autofill would work anymore because they would show my clipboard above the keyboard. A few worked fine, but a few didn't and required me to manually copy/paste.

Android has this bad habit of "relying" on devs to comply so if your app developer doesn't properly code login fields, the autofill doesn't trigger.īut even if they DO a good job, another bug/issue I've found is that if you have recently put anything into the clipboard, where the autofill option might show up above the keyboard now shows up as the clipboard.
